Coming Out of Hibernation
Hi there! I haven’t posted a blog in a long, long while! My life has been consumed in the last months with my husband’s health journey. He has been battling cancer for about a year now. We were in Phoenix earlier this year, from January to the end of March, for alternate cancer care. Although we learned a great deal, it wasn’t as successful as we had hoped. While in Phoenix we learned that my husband, Jerrie, also had a brain tumor.
A few weeks ago he had the brain tumor removed and is still in recovery. We are praising God – Jerrie is doing phenomenally well! Soon more treatments will begin – radiation and chemo. We both don’t look forward to what’s ahead of us. It has been a long road and it isn’t finished yet!
Although it has been difficult, God has been so close through this whole ordeal. His peace and comfort are constant companions. One scripture that God has used to comfort me is found in Matthew 6:26. It speaks of the birds and how God cares for them. We are so much more valuable to God than the birds and he has promised to take care of us! That scripture, as well as others, has helped to stabilize me through a rough journey.
So, although I’ve been absent from posting on my blog for some time, I have now returned. I’m thankful for the gift of writing – it is a welcome reprieve from all that’s been going on.
Watch for a new set of short stories on the ‘Rule of Dwarkaa’ – a continuing saga of Xiomara’s world. I am planning on posting the first short story on my blog early July.
Also watch for my new book, Time and Healing, the second novel in the Time Trilogy. It will be published soon and I’ll let you know when it’s available for purchase.
Praying and believing the best for you and Jerrie Love your book!!!!
